Welcome to the WANETAM Website. 

Sub-Saharan Africa is still challenged by the heavy death toll of poverty related diseases (PRDs) namely HIV, Tuberculosis, Malaria and other Neglected Tropical Diseases. Unfortunately, the necessary research capacity to address these health challenges are still weak both at institutional, individual and funding levels.  As a response to this situation, the European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) established four regional networks of excellence in Sub-Saharan Africa, with the objective to build essential capacitiesto be able conduct clinical trials.  These four EDCTP Nodes of Excellence are:
